Whites hunter

I've been using whites detectors since 1980. Seems like I started so longago that my first detector ran on kerosene. Now use a DFX ordinarily, butwhen I go off the beaten path I use my Coinmaster. Sure it's a 'beginner'model, but this machine works quite well if you let the detector do thehunting and trust its' readings.
Lightweight and collapses to backpackconvenience. Rings, coins, relics, whatever is there. Haven't been in anarea to prospect so I can't speak to that. For the 4-6 hour a week hunterthis is the way to start.

The coinmaster

I've had them all, and am proud owner of minelab xs2 So I know goodmachine, coinmaster has better depth than my old ace 250 bigger coils canbe attached, its more stable, the pinpoint works, discrim works, thecontrol box is well made and rain proof, and its cheaper than the aces, itsbetter made than my eurotek pro, and that was good, enough said.

Just an old hunter

Been using whites and many other detectors for fifty yrs.. You cant beatwhite, unless you want to spend thousands,(minelab)... Any bad reviewswill be from people who don't know how to run the machine, also the groundcan be mineralized and make things more difficult, would be like huntingtrough a sheet of iron to find a good metal, but white is also very good atthat. Just stick to it and you will find goodies, do your research.. goodluck too.

Great detector poorly made armcup

I bought this detector a week ago and am surprised that I have alreadyfound $50 worth of clad. The electronic circuitry of this machine isexcellent. My only complaint about this detector is the strength of the armcup I broke it in a week, just using it as intended. To those whom statethat the machine is crap it is not, it is the person using the detector, and the location where you are detecting.

Where's coin master metal detector

We bought our first metal detector about 4 days ago at Carters lawenforcement supplies in Marianna, Fla. 2 days after getting it we found myengagement ring that had been lost about 6 years on our 10 acre property. Ican not tell you the excitement that we had when we found that ring. When Ilost it 6 years prior. My sweet husband took me out and bought me anotherset, but I always longed for the rings he had chosen for me to propose tome. My desire was fulfilled when we found that ring with the grace of Godand our White's Coin Master Metal Detector as the instrument used to findit.
I still have to find the wedding band, but I have confidenceand faith that we will find that too. Our detector costs us $199.00 to findmy $4000.00 rings that meant much more than money! However, the metaldetector has more than paid for itself!

Great starter machine on a budget

I have had my White's Coinmaster for a little over a year now. I love it.At the time, it was a choice between this and an Ace 150, and I liked thelook and feel of this one better. It is very good at discriminating outiron and foil. I've gotten depth in regular, soft, soil of 8-10' on coins.I found my first piece of silver a month after I bought it (1944 quarter,6' depth) and since have turned up several silver dimes (oldest 1927) andaround 2 dozens wheat pennies and 4 Indian head pennies (oldest 1902).
As with any machine, it takes practice to work it well. It doesnot do a good a job of separating nickels and pull tabs (no notch), but forthe price I can live with that. It says batteries are good for 9 hrs, minehave lasted longer (12-15hrs). If you aren't sure this is the hobby foryou, I highly recommend this machine as an inexpensive, effective, way tocheck it out.

Basic starter detector

I bought this as my starter detector and made some basic finds with it. Oncoins it is pretty reliable, junk will cause the TID pointer to jump arounderratically. It will very soon be clear how simplistic this detector is,but also simple to use. There is modest but reliable trash separation usingtraditional concentric coil lifting and turning techniques. I quicklyupgraded, and since steer friends to an F2 or Eurotek.
